Welcome to Dirty Deeds Earthworks! We’re Paul and Jo Mathis, the proud owners and operators of a local excavation company serving Kalispell and the surrounding areas. Since our founding in 2020, we’ve been dedicated to providing trustworthy, high-quality earthmoving services — all built on a foundation of hard work, integrity, and Montana values.

Our journey began quite unexpectedly. Paul spent years working in the Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Electrical trades. After years of crawling through crawl spaces and working in tight, uncomfortable spaces, he knew it was time for a change. When we purchased a property with highway frontage and started making upgrades, Paul bought a small excavator to help with the land improvement. It wasn’t long before curious passersby stopped to ask if we could do the same work on their properties.

Realizing there was a real need for trustworthy, skilled excavation contractors in the community, we took the leap — obtaining the proper licenses and insurances to make sure we could serve our customers confidently. And here we are today, bringing our unique perspective and expertise to every project.

With Paul’s extensive background in trades and his experience as a Marine, attention to detail and precision are at the heart of everything we do. Paul’s ability to assess a property — understanding where utilities are or should be, soil retention, drainage, and more — ensures that your project is done right the first time.

As a Montanan born and raised, Jo values the hardworking, community-oriented spirit that defines Montana. We believe in building lasting relationships with our clients, helping turn their visions into reality.
